  • QotNews - Hacker News, Reddit, Lobsters, and Tildes articles rendered in reader mode. Mostly tech related, one of my favorite sites

  • brutalist report - The day’s headlines delivered to you without bullshit. Minimal, text only news aggregator

  • pastevents - A structured, searchable archive of Wikipedia’s “Current Events” portal

  • newsminimalist - AI-powered news aggregator and curator. An LLM model ranks the top 1000 news stories every day and gives them a significance score. I don’t use it that much, but you can see if something big has happened in less then 30 seconds

  • hirkereso - Text based news aggregator for hungarian news. (similar to brutalist report)

  • neptun / canvas / tms / catalog - Shortcuts

  • gernyimark / aroland - Scheduling websites, as the official ones are pretty clumsy and show classes late

  • dominikf - Core subjects & compulsory subjects nicely visualised for the 3 different specialisations

  • gabeee - It is the predecessor of almost every useful site in this list. The notes are from an older curriculum, so they’re not as useful, but the site contains other information as well that can be useful during your studies at ELTE.

  • algo - Amazing website to guide you through Algorithms and Data Structures I and II

  • map - Interactive map of all ELTE campuses in Budapest (login required)

  • valentinusz - If you need notes or exams from the past this is your place

  • boot.dev - Currently there is only a backend path, and the gamification features are paid, but the knowledge and exercises are available for free.

  • pwn.college - pwn.college is an educational platform for students (and other interested parties) to learn about, and practice, core cybersecurity concepts in a hands-on way.

  • nightmare - is an intro to binary exploitation / reverse engineering course based around ctf challenges

  • anna’s archive - “The largest truly open library in human history.” Sci-Hub, Libgen, Z-lib, DuXiu, etc. all in one place

  • kobo/kindle send - I use this to send ebooks to my kindle paperwhite, it is far superior to amazon’s own “send to kindle” service

  • hidan - Simple, fast, no speed limit, privacy-oriented hosting provider (looks like a buzzheavier clone). I would advise against using it with unencrypted files (like all other providers really)

  • toffeeshare - Peer to peer filesharing

  • feynmanlectures - Feynman’s legendary lectures

  • マリウス - Really cool blog focused on privacy, travel and technology. Also the style looks absolutely gorgeous imo

  • slime mold time mold - Blog about statistics, study design, science communication. High quality posts

  • samwho - Some of the nicest animations I have ever seen. Computer science topics

  • littlerbooks - Book summaries of the top non-fiction books. Totally free, made entirely by humans

  • goblin.tools - goblin.tools is a collection of small, simple, single-task tools, mostly designed to help neurodivergent people with tasks they find overwhelming or difficult.

  • unapothecary - Unapothecary’s link directory. Tons of interesting links

  • cyberneticdreams - Cyberneticdreams’ link directory. I really like the style of this site
